Performer Information
Claudia Schnitker, flute
Flautist Claudia Schnitker studied flute and piano at the Oberlin Conservatory. She is currently principal flute in the Linden Hills Chamber Orchestra , plays in a wind quintet (The Nokomis Quintet) , the Triple Play Trio (flute/cello/piano) and the Bach By Two flute/piano duo. A member of Thursday Musical, Mu Phi Epsilon music fraternity, and Upper Midwest Flute Association, she founded and directed the Edina Community Education flute choir program. In addition to local freelancing, she maintains a private teaching studio. She has also lectured on flute acoustics at George Washington University.
Suzanne Hoy, soprano
Susanne Hoy, soprano, is a native of Onalaska, Wisconsin, holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. As a professional vocalist, Susanne sings regularly at Our Lady of Grace, Edina, Minnesota in Schola Cantorum, as a cantor, and in recitals locally. Recently she performed the soprano solo in the Brahms Requiem with Chorus Polaris conducted by William Mathis, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
From 2008 to 2013, she sang with a semi-professional women's vocal ensemble, Cecilia Chamber Singers (CCS), which has performed primarily in the Mid-West, and in 2009, performed in Germany and Austria and as part of the Salzburg Music Festival. In addition, she participated in the fulfillment of two recording projects with CCS, Let Evening Come and A Sacred Banquet. In 2012, Susanne toured and led sacred music on a pilgrimage of the Holy Land. She is married to Roger Hoy. They have three children and they reside in the West Metro. Susanne enjoys golf, fitness and spending time with family, as well as pursuing continuing education in vocal performance, studying with David Jorlett.
Christopher Wallace, a native of Atlanta GA, received his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from Eastman School of Music as a student of Dr. Nelita True. He also received a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of MN as a student of Lydia Artymiw. Christopher teaches with his wife, Megan, through their private studio, Wallace Piano and Organs Studios, is Music Director/Organist at Our Lady of Grace, Edina MN and is owner of Allen Organs of the Twin Cities, Inc./Allen Organs of Iowa, a Mid-West dealer for Allen Organ Company.

This is Lydia Lunning's third season as a performing member of Thursday Musical. She has studied voice privately on and off for several years and has also performed in the Twin Cities as part of the Coro! vocal ensemble. Prior to that, she performed locally in such ventures as the original musical, Toothsome Alley, which she also choreographed and coproduced, and won recognition in the avocation division at NATS in 2014. By day, Lydia works as an editor and project coordinator for an online writing center and appreciates the patience of her apartment neighbors, who have not once complained about her practicing.
Sue Ruby, a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music (NCTM), hails from the tiny northern town of Tamarack. She teaches, directs and co-owns K & S Conservatory of Music in Woodbury. She serves on the faculty of MacPhail Center for Music and as Board Member for the MMTA Foundation.
Ms. Ruby is co-founder of the Association of Professional Piano Instructors (APPI). An avid collaborative pianist, Ms. Ruby is cofounder of Fridays in the Valley, a chamber music series that raises money for charity in Golden Valley. In her leisure time, she treasures adventuresome days and quiet evenings with husband, Kurt and cat, Unk.
