Dr. Scotty Horey (B.A., M.M.A., D.M.A.) (USA) is a widely internationally respected solo percussionist, drummer, teacher, health and wellness advocate, and coordinator of cultural exchange. Formerly based in Minneapolis, MN, USA, he currently serves as Instructor of Percussion at the Music School of Delaware while maintaining his work as a solo artist, clinician, and freelance drummer/percussionist. From 2020-2022, he lived in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, Mexico where he held the position of full professor of percussion at the famous Universidad de Ciencias y Artes de Chiapas, the top percussion school of Mexico. From 2012-2020, he served as both principal percussionist of the Mankato Symphony Orchestra, and Lecturer of Percussion at the University of Minnesota, Morris. From 2009-present, he has been a featured solo artist and clinician in over 200 universities and international music festivals throughout the United States, Europe, and Latin America. His strongest passions include contemporary-classical music, progressive rock, jazz-fusion, mind/body “holistic” awareness, and cultural exchange, typically performing on solo marimba and drumset.
Elizabeth Ericksen has performed with Ensemble l’Autumno since 2004. Now retired from both Carleton College and MacPhail Center for Music, she is devoting her time to her private home studio and to mentoring string teachers for the Paul Rolland String Pedagogy Society. The past three years, she has presented at the Level 1 On-Line Paul Rolland Pedagogy Workshops, and has mentored teachers through all three of the upper levels of endorsement. She serves on the curriculum committee of the Society and is the Level 2 Coordinator. Elizabeth was elected to the board of MNSOTA (Minnesota String and Orchestra Teachers Association) as Secretary (2-year term) and President 6-year term). In 2019, MNSOTA presented her with the Master Teacher – Studio Award. Her mentors include Paul Rolland, Mary West, and Joseph Gingold.
Stella Anderson teaches viola and violin at MacPhail Center for Music and also coaches ensembles for the Augsburg University Suzuki Talent Education. As a founding member of the Sartory String Quartet Institute, she also coaches in the program during the summer as well as performs with the Minneapolis Pops Orchestra. During the year she is an active member of the Wayzata Symphony Orchestra.
Faith Farr currently teaches cello exclusively in her home studio. In addition, she self-publishes “Foundations for Music Reading,” a string-based theory curriculum for violin, viola and cello. With Brian Wicklund, she co-authored “The American Fiddle Method for Cello”, published by Mel Bay. As long-time editor of MNSOTA’s “String Notes” magazine, she won seven consecutive national ASTA awards for Best State Newsletter.
Soprano Melissa Holm-Johansen is a native of Halden, Norway, and is a 1998 graduate of St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minnesota, USA, where she graduated cum laude with a double major in vocal performance and music education. Dr. Holm-Johansen holds a D.M.A. in vocal pedagogy and performance from the University of Minnesota and was a two year recipient of a Torske Klubben scholarship. Her current project is a first-of-its-kind all-English recording of songs composed by her countryman Edvard Grieg, in collaboration with pianist Steve Swanson, Norwegian scholar/translator William Halvorson, and the Edvard Grieg Society of Minnesota.

Dr. Holm-Johansen is a longtime member of
the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and was previously awarded the NATS Independent Teacher Award. She has a private voice studio at her home in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, is the Vocal Performance Program Instructor at Shattuck – St. Mary’s Boarding school in Faribault, MN and is on the faculty at North Central University in Minneapolis. She is a section leader at The House Of Hope Presbyterian Church in St. Paul and studies with Tony-nominated singer/actor Melissa Hart and University of Minnesota professor Jean del Santo.
