Performer Information

Susanne Hoy, soprano, a native of Onalaska, WI, holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. As a professional vocalist, Susanne sings regularly at Our Lady of Grace, Edina, MN in Schola Cantorum, as a cantor, and in recitals locally. From 2008 to 2013, she sang with a semi-professional women's vocal ensemble, Cecilia Chamber Singers (CCS), who have performed primarily in the mid-west, and in 2009, performed in Germany and Austria and as part of the Salzburg Music Festival. In addition, she participated in the fulfillment of two recording projects with CCS, Let Evening Come and A Sacred Banquet. In 2012 Susanne toured and led sacred music on a pilgrimage of the Holy Land. She is married to Roger Hoy. They have three children and they reside in the west metro. Susanne enjoys golf, gardening and spending time with family, as well as pursuing continuing education in vocal performance, studying with David Jorlett.

Mitchell Blatt grew up in the Washington, D.C. area where he studied clarinet with Sidney Forrest.  He then attended the University of Michigan school of music in Ann Arbor on a music scholarship where he studied with David Shifrin and received a bachelor of musical arts degree.  He especially appreciates the opportunity to play chamber music that Thursday Musical provides, and also enjoys his day job as an ophthalmologist.
